Support our super fundraisers and help find cures for neurological conditions!
Our fantastic fundraisers are taking on challenges in memory of those who are no longer with us. Can you help support them? Together we can give hope to those who need it. It goes without saying how proud we are of our fundraisers and wish them the greatest success taking on their challenges!
“My step son Joshua Middleton & I are running the great eastern run on October 13th in memory of my father in law/ Josh’s grandad. He battled Motor Neurone, but it gradually took over his body and then was taken too soon by this debilitating and fatal disease. We would like to give back for the care he received and thank everyone at Addenbrokes Hospital that made his last years as comfortable as possible. Please give just a little, none of us know what is round the corner for us.”

“16 years ago my grandad was diagnosed with MND sadly only 6 month later he lost his battle with this horrendous disease.
I put on a pair of trainers back in September 2018 with my slimming world group to earn some body magic stars doing couch to 5k having not done any running since I was at school. The first couple of weeks I thought I was going to die having to run for a whole 90 seconds. 9 weeks later I managed to run my first 5k without stopping. In February 2019 I had come on leaps and bounds and did my first 10k. l now run at least 3 times a weeks loving everything about running. Skip forward to October 2019 I am now going to run my first Half Marathon (21K) , grandad would have said I am mad but he would have been proud I’m sure.
This is my first chance to give something back to help find a cure for this disease”

My lovely, kind and incredibly brave friend Gordon passed away almost 4 years ago after a courageous battle with this horrible, cruel disease. His strength and bravery was absolutely inspiring and is a big reason why I’m so full of those annoying, positive quotes I’m always throwing at you… because if he can be such a positive inspiration whilst dealing with his own mortality then good grief I can certainly do it in his honour…
So I will be swimming the equivalent of Loch Ness which is a mile, or 65 lengths of a 25m pool to you and me, over the course of the next 4 weeks. All donations to my page will be placed in a fund which is specifically in Gordon’s name (but every penny goes to the charity) and you can sponsor me at any point over the 4 weeks or you can wait until I’ve completed the challenge. 1 mile may not sound much but for someone who swims like a little old lady riddled with arthritis it’s gonna be a massive achievement for me!
