Jim and his family got involved with the charity after his wife Teresa was unfortunately diagnosed with brain cancer last year. They are an incredibly strong family committed to raising awareness of this issue by fundraising towards the ongoing appeal. To read more about Teresa’s story and support the Glioblastoma appeal visit the family’s Just Giving page here, Glioblastoma appeal page. If you cannot make the event but would like to donate to the cause, please donate through the Just Giving page. All donations go towards the trial at Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital.
What is Glioblastoma?
Glioblastoma, also known as glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), is the most aggressive cancer that begins within the brain. Initially, signs and symptoms of glioblastoma are non-specific. They may include headaches, personality changes, nausea, and symptoms similar to those of a stroke. There is no clear way to prevent the disease, but we can try and change that!
